the right side hardtop mount post has two different wires (currently unattached) nearby. I suspect that these are for the soft and hardtop defrosters. Am I correct? If so, please advise me (a newbie) how to attach (a photo would really help). Thank you!

If you're going to put the hardtop on the car, then unplug the defrosting wires for the soft top and plug in the hard top wires since the hardtop is now on the car.
I don't know which wire is which. Any idea? Thank you.
 
I was wrong about unplugging the soft top wires and plug in the hard top wires. I just took pictures of my hardtop, and it looks like the wires are connected to the hardtop rear mounting post via a black round cap.
