I was watching the new xXx DVD (Vin Diesel) which features a classic GTO in it, and in the special features there was a segment from GM introducing the new 2003 GTO with a 300HP+ engine! Any thoughts regarding the re-introduction of this automobile?

In 1967 I met my husband, and he had just ordered a new GTO - burgundy. What a beautiful car. I'd never driven a 4 speed standard shift, and his obsession with the car scared me more than the HP. I was so afraid I'd scratch it. Wish we still had that car today. I saw the pictures of the new one - it just doesn't do it for me.

When I heard the GTO was coming back I was excited until I saw what they were calling a GTO. You can give a garbage truck a lot of horsepower and call it a GTO but that does not make it one.

Deposit on 2005 Cobra Coupe. Now that's a mustang.

The new GTO is just plain visually boring!!!!Hard pressed to tell it from the newer Grand Prix/Grand Am body styles............Not even a hint of "muscular" look that GTO is well known for.......

The newer bold looking cars that get my attention are the Dodge Magnum/Chrysler Crossfire/Dodge Charger/Chevy SSR/and if they build it...the Mustang as just debuted this week......looking MUCH like its late 60's namesake....also the Chevy SS coupe if it makes it into production.
