Opening Trunk

How can I open the trunk to get to the battery when I have no electrical power?

inside drivers side door, there's a silver button or
right behind drivers seat. insert key, i believe that
opens the trunk.

Correct. The button on the door itself is for when there is power. But fold the drivers seat forward and there's a key lock that opens the trunk when there is no power
