Oil filter for 05 Bird

I went to my local Valvoline dealer to have the the oil changed on my car. The manager told me they don't have a filter to fit the 05 TBird and I needed to take it to Ford for serevice. I have used VIOC on all my vehicle for many years and was surprised to hear they coudn't service the car. What gives?

If he doesn't have a filter for the 2005 he also doesn't have one for the 2003 or 2004.

Oil fileter

I remember my first visit to the dealer for an oil change. After draining and pulling the filter on my 03 Bird, I was told that he didn't have a filter for it and it would not be availble until the next day, late in the afternoon (UPS delivery time). On went my old filter with new oil until the next day. Finally, my baby had it's first oil change. Since that day, no problem. The dealer didn't know that the 02 oil filters didn't fit the 03's.

.....wouldn't a filter from an LS or XK fit....I bet they are the same........

T-Bird uses an FL 2021 (ford filter)
