UPDATE EMAIL ADDRESS
The June issue of Motor Trend will have a 1 year road test review of the t-bird 2002 "car of the year" .
Will be interesting to see if their report picks up any of the issues uncoverd here.
Hopefully they will let FORD know about the tonneau and the paint damage where the hard top fits. Probably they will not be tuff on Ford though, their living depends on being big 3 friendly!

There is NOTHING wrong with the tonneau if it's put on properly. Yes it's a bit bulky, but it makes a very finished look when on the car, much better than a soft piece of leatherette. The padding and material in my opinion is very nice. When I travel for more than a night, I leave it home, otherwise, it's always ready in my trunk. I rarely run with the top down and not have the tonneau on. I can install it in under 40 seconds and less to take it off, so it's not a big deal.
