Missing a boot for 2004 TBird

Discussion in '2002 - 2005 Ford Thunderbird' started by Crew, Jul 26, 2017.

  1. I bought a 2004 TBird in good condition, accept I got skunked for brakes and a catalytic converter. I only paid $6,500 for it so I'm in the black still. Nice car.

So, I'm missing the soft-top "boot". Can anyone tell me where to get one that doesn't cost $800?

  2. Hi there. I found one, brand new on Ebay for $200. They are rare, but cheaper ones are out there. Try Ebay or Amazon, or just search on Google
  3. I assume you mean the "cover" for the soft top when down. A lot of them don't have one. I decided it was a waste of money since you put the top up fairly often to secure the car at work, the mall etc.
  4. Good point. I just got the Tbird and still have the hard top on. Once I remove that and use the soft-top I suspect that I will agree with you.
  5. Thanks. If I do decide to buy one, those are good options. Thanks.
  6. Thanks - As my wife says "sometimes you're not totally wrong"

I would get one while you can. There's not many left and they're not getting any cheaper.
