Yesterday I stopped at Costco for a few items and saw they had a rack of Maisto 1/18th scale Model Cars on display. Well, with a grandson's birthday coming soon, I thought this might be just the place to look for something nice and shiny. To my surprise and delight, there, among all the latest and greatest models was this 2002-2005 Model Thunderbird! Now I need to pick up a can of paint that matches our 2005 and respray this model!

So, if you're planning a trip to Costco, check out the Maisto display!

Best wishes,
Tom
PS: I picked up a 5.0L 2015 Mustang GT model for my grandson!

How much? Item number? My local costco does not have any at all.

Hi B,
It was $19.99 as of yesterday. Die cast body, doors, hood and trunk open. It's a nice model. After Jane and I got her 50th Anniversary car, I'd looked for models but didn't find much. Imagine my surprise seeing it at Costco!
Best wishes,
Tom

PS: Item # on the T-Bird box is 46629.....

I am surprised they have them. Back in 2003 I would buy all the Thunderbirds from the mixed pallet at Sam's club and use them for giveaways, etc! This looks like the James Bond 007 color but could be the photo lighting! Could be old stock they are moving. Is it red or an orangish-red color?

It's definitely "red", not the Bond color. I note, now that I've opened the package, that the dash decal is of the "early" retrobird's design as is the detail of the engine bay. It's not the same as my "later" 2005 car.
