UPDATE EMAIL ADDRESS
Update on friend's 03 Bird whose instrument cluster went out just after someone detailed the engine.

I talked with Ford service mgr today. He recommended that we get a mechanic with a probe and continuity testor and look for one of the following:

1. bad fuseable link.
2. blown fuse.
3. wet relay.

Friend will arrange for this in next week or so.

Cluster problem resolved. Lack of speedometer/gauges resulted from the detailer blowing a connector off down underneath the drive train.

All is now working.
