INSIDE R/V MIRROR TBIRD vs LS LINCOLN

Does anyone know if you can interchange the two mirrors and the compass feature will work on the bird? A friend has an 05 LS and has all those features and looks the same as my o3 Bird Would like the compass feature. Any help would be appreciated.

I ran it around the top of the windshield, down the right side, and connected it to the fusebox. Fuse #15 unused.
 
Hey All???
I do not want an aftermarket mirror if possible. Anyone know if LS will work out of box from FORD??? I appreciate any info on other mirrors if Ford will not work.
