Info wanted on polished steering/stick

I own a 2003 white T-Bird w/ black accent package and am considering the purchase of a 2005.
The blue accent package includes a leather highlight on the steering wheel and stick shift while the black, white, and red accent packages have the polished accents.
Anyone know of a way to get the blue package complimented with polished blue steering wheel and stick?
Maybe the vender would do a special order???

You know they are done making Thunderbirds don't you? Last one was built July 1st. Looks like your only option is to buy the parts and have them painted.

Yes, I did know that they were done - I just haven't given up hope yet!
I am thinking that I might swap the leather wheel and stick for the black polished ones.

Watch eBay for the steering wheels and shift knobs. I do have a black accent steering wheel I'd part with for $150 (I think Ford retail is about $350) and a white painted knob for $100 (Ford retail about $250).

The knob installs easily in about two minutes but I'd be afraid to install the steering wheel myself.

EDIT: Oh, you mean you'd swap the black ones from your 2003 before you traded it in?
