How to Remove and Replace turn signal switch

Maintenance/repair CD does not address. 'Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has done this. The problem is that the high beam function of the switch does not work. The high beams will work in the flash position but will not light in the high beam position of the switch.

The switch is available at many sources, suggesting that is a common failure.

Thanks in advance for any help...
