How to adjust wiper speed on 1966 Thunderbird

Does anyone know how to adjust the wiper control lever. Sometimes the wipers start when I start the engine, and today I had a difficult time shutting them off.

Does anyone know how to adjust the wiper control lever. Sometimes the wipers start when I start the engine, and today I had a difficult time shutting them off.

To adjust cable which controls the speed by allowing hydraulic fluid into motor remove front cowl and make sure cable is fully closing this inlet valve of course make sure the control lever is set to full off position if this fails to stop the wipers the valve may be internally leaking
