I have the workshop manual, it describes how the beams should look like but not how to change the position.
In the manual it says " Locate the vertical adjuster on each headlamp, then use a 6 mm allen wrench or screwdriver to adjust the headlamp up or down." but it does not specify WHERE that adjuster is....
 
I was just going to post a similar picture! That's it, it can be easy adjusted with a pair of pliers or a small crescent wrench.
 
Please, no crescent wrenches or pliers! Use a proper 6 mm socket. Note that it isn't an Allen head- it looks like an Allen wrench sticking out of the headlamp!
 
Actually the pliers worked fine. Didn't have a 6mm socket handy. It turned easily so no harm done. My headlights are new though (I just recently replaced them)
