I am trying to decide whether or not to order a Premium or DeLuxe 2003. The issue is the heated seats since I plan to replace the wheels with NM's. I would then sell the factory wheels on e-bay. Since I have never had a car with heated seats, I am wondering if they are worth the extra cost of a Premium. I don't plan to drive the bird on snowy days here in Penna. I appreciate your feedback.

Duke- My wife has heated leather seats in her VW Passat. It's a nice luxury, but not really a necessity...leather tends to warm up pretty quickly anyway. I'll tell you this...If I lived north of us (I'm in northern VA), I'd have to have them. My Bird is the every-day driver for me, and I don't think I'll mind not having heated seats. I'll also stay away from snow and work from home on those days.

duke583,
My wife's L-Series Saturn has a leather interior with heated seats. I can say that they were very comfortable last winter, but I'm not sure they are worth the price of a Premium upgrade over the Deluxe??

heated seats - its a convertible!! Usually the only time you are driving this car is in the summertime/fall. Don't plan on ever seeing snow and cold in it. I don't think its worth the extra money for heated seats.

I doubt this is the case for most owners.

In my case it will be my primary vehicle for a few years, except when I need more room for my wife and I. Then I will use my Explorer or my Jaguar XJ6 which are both older vehicles. Thanks for the feedback.

Although I live in California now, I remember spending several cold winters in PA and CT. If I still lived there like you do I would go for the heated seats!

I loved the heated seats in my previous cars, but I used it for medicinal purposes haha as you get older it is like a heating pad. But sure not a necessity. In fact, it gets so hot I would have to turn down air. cindy

I have had serveral convertibles and love driving in the winter with the top down. Heated seats would definitely make this even more enjoyable. Also, since you live in PA it would seem you would have more use of this feature than I ever had.

My wife has already complained about the cold at night here in Texas. I had here HVAC set to 90 and might on 60. It would have been better if she could of just turned on her heated seat. 2002 T-birds did not even have the option choice.

Get the heated seats.

I've driven in my friends BMW Z3 and the heated seats are great.

I can see the heated seats coming in handy during a cool fall evening with the top down and moonlight reflecting off your girlfriends hair. I nice warm bottom makes for a perfect setting for "Insperation Point". Two Thumbs Up on the heated seats.
