what also helps me when inside and holding down the roof with outside hand,lower the visor , you can see if the screw is in the correct position and if it is reaching the roof,then either push down to compensate or learn which way to adjust

I would invest in a Hard Top remover and installer. This way you can remove and install the hard top by yourself. I got one years ago from California Customs.

Thanks, but it’s all outdoors, no garage or overhang to hook it to
