For those that might not have recieved formal notification, Ford has announced that it will extend coverage from 36K to 50K miles on an internal part to the transmission on certain 2002 - 2005 model year birds (see attached memo). However, note there's a 3 year limit so it may not apply to many of us early owners

Edit Note, I did the title too fast....this is on a part within the tranny not the transmission itself.
