Hi, Quickdraw,
Before bringing the T-bird into Canada, it had to be on an approved list of vehicles able to be imported into the country, then, go through a gov't initiated inspection within 30 days ;only three special requirements-a km/hr speedometer(it has both), child seat tethers (has them), and day-time running lights (these are in all T-birds-activated through a computer code by a Ford dealer). It was a simple procedure-no problem.Paperwork to allow the car into Canada was sent to the border by the dealer 72 hours in advance of border crossing (which had to include a Ford -generated proof that there are no outstanding recalls on the vehicle).Mark Kurkowski, my selling dealer, did a terrific job with all of this.
