I am seriously considering removing the stock door handles, and installing a brand new set of polished SS "push-buttons" (replicas of '48 Lincoln handles) on my '04. Not sure if it would work without seeing the stock mechanism, but I don't want to start pulling off door panels just yet. Does anyone know what the stock mechanisms look like (pics)? Even though you pull the stock handle, I would think there are levers that actually "push" to operate the mechanism. I've seen that before when I shaved the handles off a mini-truck years ago. Any info would be helpful.
