Door alarm

My 2002 door alarm keeps going off. The car thinks the doors ajar when it's not and the alarm will go off and stay on. Has anybody else had this problem or know of a quick fix?

Have seen many Fords with sticking door ajar switches. That is what I would look at first. A little PB Blaster usually frees it up.

I have had the same problem in the past with a Taurus and an Explorer. If they decide to stick its a pain. My 03 bird hasn't pulled that on me ( YET )... 😛

Are you sure it is your door? The trunk will set off the same alarm. I know as it has happen to me a few times when I hit the wrong button on the key fob and unlatched the trunk.
