Did you know that our car has no transmission fluid dipstick?


After searching for 5 minutes I went to the owner's manual and found out there isn't one because this car does not need one.

yep, and after talking to the ford trans guy when mine was in for oil change, it is quite a process to check the oil. Car has to be perfectly level, and then they remove a plug in the pan and count the drips in so much time. it sounded prety reverse enginerring to me. John

"sealed" transmissions are pretty much standard fare today...my wife's BMW has it...my Benz had it, too. Both were not scheduled for service until 100,000 miles.

Not saying I like it, just saying that's the way it is.
