I've been a member here for 3 minutes and I have a question! I've been looking at a '62 that is about 99% complete but in pretty rough shape. The price on it is low. It's been stored for about 15 years. I have a 12v cummins sitting at the farm and it runs beautifully. I'm wondering what you think the feasibility of this swap would be. I haven't taken measurements or anything and I've never built a car. Gotta start somewhere. Thank you.

Welcome, Shaun. I don’t know but I like the idea. I suppose almost anything can be done with the right knowledge and enough cash.

Yeah, most of the money would be spent on suspension I think. The goal is not a restoration nor is it a mad max build. I want to keep the black on red patina and make a cool cruiser. I will have to see what would be required to mount this engine.

The vehicle is a unibody so you would need to fab a frame to hold the motor and attach that to the body. Like my buddy used to say "put whatever you want done in a 40 foot shipping container, then pack hundred doller bills around it till it won't rattle.
