I just found this article in my e-mail this morning and noticed that among several older concept cars that Ford has shown at car shows over the past few decades, they are going to be auctioning 2 concept Thunderbird's, as well. Here's the article: http://www.autonews.com/news.cms?newsId=2096

I wounder if it will be open to the public. Would like to attend. Thanks for the heads-up.

BirdBrain,
In an auction like that, you will probably have to put money with an escrow service before the auction starts in order to bid. Looks like it is public from reading the article.

Dang it, where is Ed McMahon when I need him????

The Mach III concept is one ride I'd like to see on the road.

We were treated to a showing of the Mach III
in the engineering center during our visit to
Ford in connection with the 1992 convention. They also took it to the test track on the Saturday morning when the let us
drive our little birds around the Dearborn test track.
It was an impressive car!
