I have a 2005 with 31K miles on it. The reader says coil 8 is misfiring.
I heard that they revised the warrenty to 100K miles. Is that true and is it a big job to replace?

Yes, 100,000 miles or 10 years for 2003 to 2005 Thunderbirds - Just about any Ford or Lincoln dealer knows this. NOTE: They will only chage the coils that are bad, so don't expect to get all 8 done at once.

If you use the search function, you'll probably find a copy of the Ford letter

Thanks George,
I called 2 dealers and decided to do it myself. The coil was $42.00 and available at the local auto parts store. The hardest part was getting the covers off. The actual replacement took 1 minute. Thanks for your help. 🙂
