Build Date

I have a build date of 06/01 on my drivers door, that would indicate to me it was a pre-production model. Anyone have any thoughts.

Mine was also built 6/01 (June 2001). They were not pre-production, but rather held up from shipping several times because of items needing to be fixed as they started finding early production bugs. If you open the hood you will find a serial number tag on the inside edge of the left (drivers0 side fender. Above the serial # is a 4 digit number which is the rotation #. The rotation # is the actual # car built. Mine is 0942. After they reach I think 9863, the rotation # starts at zero again. Why they start at zero again at such an odd # instead of rolling to 0001 after 9999 I'll never know. Yours like mine was probably one that arrived in mid August and then was loaded up and shipped back to the factory in Wixom, Michigan Labor Day weekend. Finally came back and took delivery on 10-9-01.
