I need a new battery for my 2005 T-Bird. Is an AutoZone Duralast/685 CA OK, and will it fit in the space in the trunk? It's dimensions are:

Battery Height: 225 mm - 8 7/8 in
Battery Length: 306 mm - 12 1/16 in
Battery Width: 173 mm - 6 13/16 in

I know - I could go out and measure - but I'm hoping someone will just know.

Hi,
March 24th I replaced my original 2004 Pacific Coast's battery with an Interstate MTP66 (85 month - 3 yr free replacement) battery (approx. $120)without any difficulty... The +/- posts and vent location were proper for the TB. Took the tire out for plenty of room and put it in myself. The battery was purchased thru a Firestone care center in Pompano Bch., FL (had a $10 coupon in March). While I can normally order a battery for my vehicles thru Firestone's website (getting a quote hence, saving a nice % off vs. a center walk-in), the site did not show a '04 TB offering. My contact at the center called Interstate, who "stated" they have only this model for the newer birds. Firestone had a brand new wrapped MTP 66 (article/product #v7018201) within a day for pick-up or their $9 labor. (MTP = MegaTron-Plus is a also Interstate's highest CCA product which they avoid offering in South FL because of the summer heat and possible faster burn outs, etc.) Hope this helps a bit...
George
