'95 T-Bird Code Reader?

Years ago I bought a Chilton Code Index Book to read the codes on my '95 T-Bird. It seems that ford was in the middle of a transition between reader devices and the one for the '95 was way expensive. Is that still the case? Where can I buy a inexpensive code reader for the '95? I have problems with the overdrive, windows won't roll down, some lights don't work to name a few issues.
