Thunderbird Year

Question:

After giving it a "backyard" tune-up:
Clean Throttle Body
New Air Intake Control
New EGR
New Spark Plugs
New Cap and Rotor
New Coil
New Air Filter

The car idles rough, and we hear some knocking.

I was told to get a "knock" sensor for my sons car.

Dealership says they don't make a "knock" sensor for this year.

Any ideas if there is another name for this part?

Thanks

In case you still are working on this you may want to check the rocker arms there is no knock sensor at all for this car computer pretty much controls any emission problems

Also make sure all ur parts are oem, did a tune up on my first v6, and used the wrong plugs, still ran but was rough shaky and pinged, had no power, also if its' not the plugs, try loosening the the exhaust from the manifold, clogged cats can cause backpressure and cause the engine to knock. The wrong plugs caused the engine to just dump gas into the cats and clogged them, removed them ran better, mech noticed the plugs switched them out and relax perfect
