I am seeing two different wheel variations on the 2005 TBirds. Both variations appear on 50th Anniversary models so apparently that is not the cause for a difference. Does anyone know which is considered to be standard or special or whatever?

Can't find much yet on the difference between the Deluxe and Premium other than the wheels. The Premium started at about a thousand dollars more.

This is from the brochure that came with my 2004 Thunderbird. Looking at the window sticker, I have the optional 17” 16 spoke machined wheels at no extra charge.

My own since new 2004 has the 17 spoke cast aluminum. Same as your left example. Part of the premium package. Have to clean more often but have the retro look.
