2005 Spark plug crossthreaded

Hello All ,
Having just removed coils + plugs after couple misfires, on attempt hand screw gently easily back into head, couple seem not easy to turn in past 3 turns. mechanics say to remove heads and redo the plug threads, seems high effort. Is there another way to remedy? I see this although mechanics advise against claiming aluminum thread shavings might fall into cylinder .
