In my latest issue of Style Magazine there is a two page full ad for Ford Products for 2005. No Thunderbirds. What is going on? Why no feature for our favorite car?

I haven't seen that ad, but Ford ads I have seen only plug Ford's six all-new vehicles... the GT, Ford Five Hundred, Freestyle, Mustang, and I forget what the other two were... The Thunderbird wraps up in 2006.

.....pretty much says it all doesn't it?......the word abandoned comes to mind. 🙁 .....we, the abandoned, will continue to enjoy these remarkable 'Birds.....Ford notwithstanding....some of us for the rest of our lives.....I've never known or owned a car that has been as captivating...... 😀

🙂 Couldn't agree more! I haven't seen any car I would rather have than my Bird! When you take a good look at the superb blend of style, performance, comfort, eye appeal, attention getting, and most importantly how it makes me feel, you just have to know that it is a real winner.... even if Ford doesn't.

We are going to keep our '04 Thunderbird for many years, but boy Ford sure hit a homerun with the new Mustang (though Freestar & Five Hundred can go straight to Hertz fleet as far as I am concerned).

I agree that the 05, 500 and frestyle or freestar( whatever) belongs in a rental pool. About as BLAH!! as it can get. Lets just put all the designers in a room and make one car AKA early Russia. Of course I will not pick on Ford alone, Mercury as well and of course GM all divisions too!! As much as I hate to say Chrysler has done a better job of innovation, even if I personally do not care for them, with the product mix.
My 2cents worth

Ford loaned me a new 500 when I had problems with the battery. It is very nice on the inside, but I don't like the looks of that car, at all.
