2004 Soft Top Bow damage repair

Hi - has anyone experienced this? I am having the fabric replaced but the ends of the middle bow are poking up. Is this an easy fix? Do you think I need to buy a new bow piece?

Probably just age. Car could have been built 19 years ago in 2003. I'd consider getting a new top like this owner- https://forums.fordthunderbirdforum.com/threads/2004-new-soft-top-installed.13416/

You can see the soft top frame definitely can be seen pushing into the soft top, even on the new one.
