The car has a BMS (BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM).

Changing the BAT without using an external power supply will cause the car to lose memory(ies) in certain control module(s), usually fuel trim, trans shift, etc.

The BMS also has to be reset with a new BATT install or it wont allow proper charging of the replacement battery

Hello! Same issue here. My Bird is a 2004 and charged battery (previous worn out) and immediately the cd player stopped operating. Get Error’ sign when I try to activate.
Did a second disconnect and waited half hour before reconnecting. All components working except cd remains getting ‘Error’ indicator.
Thoughts or help appreciated.
Fuse 18/20 door side appears fine.
