2003 wiper mechanical noise

I have a lot of motor/mechanical noise when wipers are on . this is an 03 T bird. any ideas?

A continuous noise would would seem to indicate the motor(bearings etc.) while a intermittent noise, similar to the repetition of the wipers flapping, would more likely be something be in the connecting arms of the wipers to the motor.
