2003 Power Steering Return Hose Filter Position

Anyone had experience with the best location along the length of the power steering return hose for an in-line filter? Also, the hose appears to be standard 3/8", but would appreciate confirmation. Thanks!

A filter is unnecessary. Flush and add fresh fluid. Then you’re good to go. Going forward do the same according to manufacturer instructions.

Modifies avoid power steering whine, add 2 oz Ford Friction Modifier, available on Amazon. Be sure to wear gloves when adding. Powerful stinky stuff!!
