2003 odometer changed from miles to kilometers

My car sat in the rain and wasn’t driven for a couple of months and there was an electrical issue. a friend did a computer reset. It’s running fine now however, my mileage is in kilometers now. How do I reset that?

Years ago this was discussed and someone said the cluster has to be flashed. This is definitely an interesting scenario. What did your friend use to reset the computer? Was this car ever titled in Canada?

Miles to Kilometers

Has anyone changed an Instrument Cluster from Miles to Kilometers? I have exchanged my Kilometer with a Miles one and have the old Kilometer one. Can I exchange the Odometer and the Dial Assy without loosing the PATS?

I’m sure he did his research but I’m not sure exactly how I was just so pleased he was able to do that. I don’t know about a Canadian registration. Interesting thought. Thank you for responding.

Any luck? I just installed a new battery and mine did the same thing.
 
Have a project - restoring '59 T-Bird Convertible - and looking to see if replacement gauge set available in Metric87dcb7de6bb343c3878e1aad30fbc1ac_hrs.jpg

- Canada didn't commence metric till '70's so wondering if a retro fit or possibly another country i.e. EUrope might have been sent metric gauges ?
