2002 Thunderbird 3.9L Piston

I am looking to buy a piston for a 2002 Ford Thunderbird (3.9L). Everyone I have spoken with says that I must purchase the entire short block; however, someone has to manufacture the piston. Anyone have any suggestions?

Search for 2002 Lincoln LS 3.9 L V8 piston...it's same engine and you could also look for 03-05
