2002 Loss of Transmission fluid

Backed out of the garage, turned and headed out. Noticed a delay in moving forward, but went ahead a little, then turned back to the driveway and the car refused to move. When I got out, I noticed oil on the pavement and looking into the garage realized all the transmission fluid had drained out. I found half of a ceramic ring about 4 inches in diameter on the garage floor. Had the car towed to my repair service shop. They looked at it, but could not repair it. They recommended a local transmission repair shop.
Anyone have experience in this area or suggestions? I cannot do the work myself.

You need to get your options from the transmission shop. Obviously this is a catastrophic failure.
