I replaced the fuel pump a year ago. now the fuel gauge is not functioning correctly. After a fill up is shows just above half. I am also having some electrical problems. My cluster lights are out as well as the steering wheel pod lights and the shifter lights. Can the FEM be the cause of the fuel gauge problem?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When you saw the prompt that said "4 Digit Model Year + a short summary of what your post is about, just curious what led you to pick "2002 thunderbird base" as your title? How is anyone going to know what this post is about with that title? Title updated to reflect what your post is actually about.

The FEM is most likely the issue with your lights, the fuel gauge is most likely an issue with your fuel pump fuel level
sensors. Sensor in drivers pump, and in passengers pump, system averages both sensors. First check the fuel pump
that you replaced last year first and make sure fuel float and arm are ok.

Was the gauge working correctly before and immediately after you replaced the pass. side fuel module? Check this thread, post #7 and #8: https://forums.fordthunderbirdforum.com/threads/2003-fuel-gauge-will-not-go-below-half-level.13201/. Based on that thread, it seems your drivers side float OR wiring are not right.
Before YES , I have to be honest, after, I am not sure but I think so. Thank you for this info . Allot to digest but it will help .
