This is extremely helpful. In the interim I did something unconventional. My T-bird's suspension seems fine, everything is tight, steering is excellent. But I noticed that the rubber boots on the suspension ball type joints were all cracked. So, I cleaned out the grease within them, put fresh grease inside and then wrapped FLEX tape around each joint. FLEX tape will stick incredibly well to itself, so if you wrap it around itself tightly, and avoid getting any grease on the outer surfaces of the tape it will hold. To help support this further, I wrapped two zip ties around each one. I realize this might sound a bit nutty, but it is inexpensive and has been on there for a year and seems to be remaining in place and certainly doing the job needed.
