1996 pink something in coolant

I had a head gasket blow. I had the heads decked and valve job done while it was apart. Put it all back together and it runs great! After about 10 days (and less than 200 miles) I went to check the oil and coolant level and saw this “pink stuff” floating on top of my coolant. We sucked it off the coolant and assumed it’s trans fluid from a (now) leaking radiator/trans cooler. Immediatly disconnected the trans cooler lines and installed a aftermarket trans cooler. No evidence of coolant in the trans fluid that we could see.
The pics show the resivoir after driving the car 5 miles and it sat overnight.
Needless to say, I’m concerned!
TIA

Do you have coolant lines for the transmission ? If so check them out.
A leak there is often called SMOD (the Strawberry Milkshake of Death)..
Coolant and transmission fluid mixing is bad news indeed.

If you have removed the trans lines from the radiator and this is still present, you need to flush the cooling system. Then add new coolant. Monitor trans fluid for foaming. If that happens, you will need to have the trans flushed, too.
