This has been an on-going issue since I've had the car, but most the the gauges, turn signals and brake lights only work if you keep the low beam headlights on, if you put them on bright everything goes off. Had a mobile mechanic come a bit ago and they said it was the fuse panel, then a couple months ago it stopped working with the switch so had the old switch replaced and now the new switch has gone too. The headlight switch isnt a cheap part so I can't just keep replacing it, was the mechanic right? I can't find a readily available fuse panel so if so that would be seriously bad. Posted some pictures of it. Looks like its hot wired off the fog lamps.

I can't comment on the fuse panel, not sure what their jumping off of or where those two wires are going, would have to follow them to find out.........These conditions you describe, gauges, signals, brake lights, do you know if the ignition switch has ever been swapped or is it still o.e.m. ? I say that because the ig. switch is the first stop after the juice comes off the battery to separate into 20 different directions, if it's not flowing proper at this point, it could do all kinds of things, mess with gauges, switches, I've seen bad ig. switches do all kinds of weird stuff to your car, it's a very important part for keeping juice flowing proper..............
