Hey everyone, bit of a weird post. I have a 66 town landau and noticed that it had a yellow star with the number seventeen stamped under the trunk lid on the driver's side. I tried searching on the forum and Google, but couldn't find anything on it. If anyone knows why it's there, I would appreciate info on it.
Here is a picture of it.

The yellow star is the paint inspection stamp. The star has a number inside the outline which identified the inspector. More than one number can appear on a car. The paint stamp can be found on the trunk lid inner framing, hood framimg, shock towers and other such locations.
