1966 No Start, faint click with new solenoid.

No start from ignition just faint click sound but will start direct contact...I've changed the solenoid.

Check your ground wire to the block, clean block surface to ensure contact, replace ground wire if too coroded.
 
No start from ignition just faint click sound but will start direct contact...I've changed the solenoid.
First thing I would do is check grounding. Fords are notorious for demanding the ground is making good contact.
