I got it thanks a lot. I was close but never went under the bumper. Now I can start looking around inside.

I strongly suggest the following:
1. get a shop manual.
2 locate a local club in your area via internet or other source
3.locate parts sources and specialty suppliers via internet or other source.

If there is not an inside release then releases are generally in the grill area.
