Does anyone know how much power steering fluid a 65 takes? And should it be type F or is another fluid OK? Had a broken hose the other day on the way home from a Sunday drive..

Two litres of type F will be lots. Lift the front wheels off the ground so you can turn steering wheel lock to lock while filling. Make sure your wipers work when your done.

A normal substitute is Mercon III. the caveat is that if you use the wrong fluid you can damage the transmission and possibly the power steering.
