Hello everyone,

I have a 64 that I acquired just over a year ago. I've been trying to track down an electrical issue to where my reverse lights, turn signal indicators, a/c compressor, radio, and a few other things do not work. I found a box on the drivers side fender that has a burnt plug and missing prong. The numbers on the box are C3VB-14512-A. It looks like these numbers come back to a Lincoln window safety relay. The confusing part about this to me is that my car doesn't have power windows, nor is it a convertible. My question is, what is this box and why is it on my car if it doesn't have anything in it that it is supposed to plug into? Would it possibly control anything that doesn't work in the car?

It's a relay, their job is to allow a low voltage connection at a switch and/or be used as a power cut off point.
Don't get hung up on an engineering name.
Replace it repair the connection, it may surprise you.
