My 64 was put on later in life at Hanover Ford in PA. Maybe these pictures can help with your mounting of the Compressor. Good Luck, and Happy 4th Week!!

Yes. Before I bought my 64 a older woman wanted AC when going ti car shows. She went to Hanover Ford in Pa. and had it installed. Now Hanover did put the unit under the passenger dash. I had a metal guy mill out my chrome piece and found an orginal vent.

Any idea of cost to do this?

I'll take some pictures for you as mines apart at the moment. Note - you might already know that on an AC car the power steering reservoir is relocated to side rather than on top of the pump.
