I have a harness coming out of the passenger side if the firewall and it splits with a heavy gauge green wire going to the passenger side and I cannot figure out where it goes to.
The car was disassembled by a fellow who was supposed to fix the car but left it in pieces and now I have to deal with it. It is a 1964 AC convertible car

I do not have AC in my 64. My cable from the passenger firewall goes around the battery compartment (fig 173552 and 173559) past the radiator to the front driver's headlight area (fig 4). I am not sure this helps but at least I tried.

Do you have shop manuals and wiring diagrams for your car?

Unfortunately, the 1964 and 1965 diagrams do not show the wiring details of the stop light relay used on these cars.
This heavy gauge green wire is most likely the stop light connection from the relay (or just stop light switch on early cars) to the turn signal switch.
