1964 Misfire on #1 at low rpm

I installed a Pertronix distributor, ever since I cant get #1 to fire reliably below 1050 RPM. This prevents me from timing it properly. All wiring voltage and resistance are in line with recommendations. Any suggestions are welcome.

My guess is you have a bad distributor cap

Yes, the cap or a bad plug wire or plug. You could swap plugs between cylinders to rule out the plug, same with the spark plug wire.

Hopefully not compression. How long has the misfire been happening?
