Where have members found a reasonably priced in garage car cover? Anybody recommend a certain brand size and source? Thanks

My experience with covers is pretty limited but here goes... I bought the cheapest cover Walmart had when I was parking a project outside. It was adequate to keep it covered and dust off but a year in AZ sun was all it could take. Indoors you don't have the sun issue so it should last. More recently I needed to cover a good car I had to keep outdoors so I wanted a waterproof cover and after studying covers on Amazon settled on one branded as "Motor Trend". It's much heavier duty, much more waterproof (just hosed it off and wiped it down today preparatory to removing it and no water got thru). So based on my limited experience what I would do if I wanted a full cover for indoor use I'd get the cheapy from Walmart... and here's the primary reason, aside from cost, ... all you need is to keep dust off and the cheap one will do that and is WAY lighter and folds up into a much much more manageable lump. I could easily shove the walmart one into a box in the trunk... the good one takes up most of the trunk..

For indoor use, just order a single-layer car cover from Amazon (or some other place). Take the measurements of your car, and order the next-larger size cover. The "correct size" is always too small. As in Arizona, my many-decade daily use of car covers (outside) in Central Florida also shows that no car cover lasts more than a year in the hot sun. Waterproof car covers are not waterproof! They may be for a month or two, then they start to deteriorate, trapping moisture underneath them. And then they leave a coating of waterproofing flakes all over the car whenever you remove them. I have found that the single-layer covers (in white or a light color) are the best. They last as long as the expensive ones, are easy to install and remove, and they cost less.

For an inexpensive indoor cover that is good quality, I recommend Empire covers. Just search them out on the web. I have one that I ordered 2 yrs ago and it has help up well.
